Message Hi,
I will be parting out my 300zx. What I am looking for is tips and tricks and
things you've learned.

The car runs strong, so I plan to shoot video of it driving, idling, etc so I can
provide as-is status. I'll document the date and time with a newspaper or
something. It also has a clear title and not salvaged. (I've had the car since
1996ish).
And of course, I'll take reasonable photos (DLSR camera) of all the bits.

I guess my concerns are two fold at the moment.
1. How did you accept money? I'm concerned that I sell something to
someone, they pay through paypal (my prefered choice I guess), and then
they claim I sent them and old wrist watch. Wont Paypal block and cancel
my account? I'm just concerned about paypal locking down my account
based on other rumblings here and on the internets.

2. Shipping. i guess. Did you guys ship really large items off (ie, I have the
Leader gears built by SpecialtyZ and was planning to just sell the entire rear
subframe.) Same goes for motors/trans. I dunno. I just think this part will
become the real ass whipping for me.

Did you end up spending considerably more TIME on the part out then you
anticipated?
Did it take considerably more space then you envisioned?
Did it take you longer to sell off most of the car then you envisioned?
Did you make what you thought/hoped on the bits?

If you have any tips or tricks, or lessons learned, I'd love to hear them. I've
googled a bit, but haven't found any real guides. (ie, do this, don't do that).

(ps, please no vulture emails yet, the car is still together and running just fine. I'm doing due diligence before I just go outside and dismantling the car).

thanks.
